Who Are We?

Excel Carpet Care is a family-run carpet and upholstery cleaning company serving homes and businesses across Kent and East Sussex. We are based locally and work throughout Brighton, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Hastings, Tunbridge Wells and Uckfield. Our approach is friendly, reliable and thorough, with a focus on treating every home with respect.

Environmental Approach

We keep our environmental impact as low as possible by using water-saving processes and reusing containers. Our dry cleaning system also reduces waste because it uses controlled amounts of cleaning material that can be fully removed during the process.

Upholstery and Fibre Care

Alongside carpet cleaning, we look after a wide range of soft furnishings and hard surfaces. Our upholstery cleaning brings new life to sofas, armchairs and dining chairs using child and pet-friendly products with low VOCs and a careful approach suited to modern and traditional fabrics. We also clean and refresh rugs, applying the same dry extraction principles to lift compacted soil before treating the fibres with gentle cleaning solutions.

For problem marks, we offer advanced stain removal supported by stain protection options that help future spills stay on the surface for longer. Colour restoration is available for areas where fading or uneven tone needs expert attention. We also clean and restore leather, using specialist products that clean the surface, replenish its feel and help maintain its natural finish.

Our work also extends to tile and grout cleaning, hard floor cleaning and natural stone restoration. These services are carried out with purpose-made machinery and cleaning agents chosen to suit each surface. The aim is always to remove ground in soil and restore a cleaner, brighter appearance without unnecessary disruption.

How We Work

Our cleaning is built around modern dry carpet cleaning that uses very little moisture. This suits busy homes and workplaces because carpets can be walked on almost straight away. We start with a detailed dry extraction that uses counter-rotating brushes and a strong vacuum to lift compacted soil from deep within the fibres. Once the fibres are opened up, we apply natural source cleaning sponges. These sponges are brushed through the carpet to dissolve and absorb remaining soil and odours. Everything is then removed with a final vacuum, so carpets are left clean and fresh without long drying times or risk of a damp underlay.
