Office Carpet Cleaning

Cleaned without the disruption

Keep your workplace running while the carpets are cleaned. Office carpet cleaning from Excel Carpet Care covers carpets and carpet tiles in workplaces, with the method chosen for how much footfall the floor takes rather than one approach for every room. We clean for businesses across East Sussex and parts of Kent, and our products are low VOC, so there is no strong chemical smell left behind for staff or visitors.

We are a family-run, commercial and residential carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning specialist, so office work sits alongside our usual carpet cleaning rather than being a separate service.

What’s included

This covers carpet and carpet tiles in reception areas, corridors, meeting rooms and general office floors. Most office carpet is either polypropylene carpet tile or a tufted or loop pile commercial carpet, and each responds differently to cleaning. Polypropylene tile takes well to a deep rinse or a low moisture clean to shift oily soiling from foot traffic. Tufted commercial carpet usually takes either a fast dry clean or hot water extraction, and loop pile, including Berber style carpet, is cleaned without aggressive brushing so the loops are not pulled or frayed. We check the carpet on site and pick the method to suit it, the same as we would for a home.

Coffee, tea and food marks near desks, kitchens and break rooms are common in offices, and we offer advanced stain removal alongside the clean if any carpets need it.

Method by footfall

A reception area that sees fifty people a day needs a different approach to a quiet back office, and office carpet cleaning has to account for that. Where a fast turnaround matters most, such as an entrance or a busy corridor, encapsulation cleaning is often the right call, since it is built for exactly that kind of high traffic area and dries quickly. For carpets that need a deeper clean, hot water extraction lifts more embedded soiling, and our low moisture dry method suits carpets that cannot be out of use for long. We talk through which areas need which treatment before we start, rather than applying one method throughout the building.

Minimising disruption

Office carpet cleaning works best when it does not get in the way of the working day, so we plan around that where we can. Our low moisture method, using quadruple filtration extraction equipment, means carpets are rarely left too wet to walk on. Tell us your working hours when you get in touch and we will fit around them, whether that means an early morning slot, a quieter afternoon, or working area by area so parts of the office stay in use while we clean the rest.

How often to book

As a general guide, office carpets in normal daily use benefit from a professional clean every six to twelve months, with reception areas, entrances and main walkways often needing it more often simply because they take more footfall. Carpet tiles that see spills, such as those near a kitchen or break room, are also worth cleaning more regularly. Keeping floors in good condition also supports the general duty on employers under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 to keep floors suitable and free from hazards. We are happy to talk through a schedule that suits how the office is actually used rather than a fixed rule for every business.
